 The
dove hunt, like the quail hunt, is an epitome of the plantation sporting
experience. A fast-flying and darting Mourning Dove will test the ability
of any shooter.
Plantation House guests may partake in a dove hunt, as an entire party, in lieu of a quail or deer hunt, at their discretion, when available in-season. Retrievers with handlers are provided. Private party dove hunts are available with or without lodging. Up to 35 persons can be accommodated for day hunts that include a post-hunt reception featuring a classic southern barbeque with refreshments. Price per person is $150 with a 15 person minimum and 35 person maximum. Dove hunts with overnight accommodations can be arranged at our Hunt Club facility for an extra charge. Please inquire for availability. Buckeye Plantation does allow automatic or pump shotguns while dove
hunting and has fine Beretta automatic and double shotguns for rent.
Appropriate ammunition is available for sale. Migratory bird stamps
are available for sale.
