Exclusive Reserve of the Buckeye Plantation
The Buckeye Plantation can be reserved in its entirety for private groups by purchasing eight reservations. Wagon and Walking Quail Hunts can be combined within private groups. (non-hunting guests extra.)

Bobwhite Quail Hunts
Two packages available:

1. Wagon Quail Hunts A high quality hunting experience for wild and early released quail performed in traditional southern fashion. Featured are luxurious, driven motorized wagons, horseback mounted guides, walking horses for guests who desire to ride, Buckeye's finest pointing & flushing dog string and access to the expansive acreage of the Plantation's premium quail habitats.

2. Walking Quail Hunts A guided high volume shooting experience for day release quail featuring a comfortable ATV as transportation and dog kennel, excellent pointer & versatile hunting dogs and access to the Plantation's day release quail habitats.

Walking Quail Hunt: One night/one half-day hunt Package

Arrival days are Sunday, Monday, or Tuesday. Arrive 3:00 pm day of arrival, complimentary 25 round 5-stand sporting clays, dinner, overnight lodging, one half-day walking quail hunt with 100 birds released with unlimited harvest, departing after lunch at approximately 1:00 pm.

$300.00 per person add-on for non-hunters

Minimum/maximum two hunters per guide

Additional half-day hunts can be purchased to extend stay for $475 per person per half day hunt.

Wagon Quail Hunt: Two night/one and a half-day hunt Package

Arrival days are Wednesday, or Friday. Arrive 3:00 pm day of arrival, complimentary 25 round 5-Stand sporting clays, dinner, overnight lodging, one day consisting of morning and afternoon wagon quail hunts, overnight lodging, morning wagon quail hunt, departing after lunch at approximately 1:00 pm.

$1,850.00 per person
$ 450.00 per person add-on for non-hunters or persons desiring to fish, shoot 5-stand sporting clays or work through point rotation on wagon.

The Wagon Quail Hunt packages are conducted with parties of four guests, two guns out per covey rise. If a guest party of two books a Wagon Quail Hunt, Buckeye Plantation reserves the right to book a second party of two to make a complete party of four.

 

Walking Quail Hunt: Two night/one and a half-day hunt Package

Arrival days are Sunday, Wednesday, or Friday. Arrive 3:00 pm day of arrival, shoot 25 round 5-stand sporting clays, dinner, overnight, morning and afternoon walking quail hunt, dinner, overnight, morning walking quail hunt, depart after lunch. 300 birds; 100 birds per hunt; released throughout the 3 hunts with unlimited harvest.

Wagon Quail Hunt: Four night/three day hunt Package

Arrive on Wednesday afternoon at 3:00 pm, complimentary 25 round 5-Stand sporting clays, dinner, overnight lodging, three days consisting of morning and afternoon wagon quail hunts per day, departing Sunday after breakfast at approximately 10:00 am.

$3,600.00 per person
$ 900.00 per person add-on for non-hunters or persons desiring to fish, shoot 5-stand sporting clays or work through point rotation on wagon.

Included in quail hunting packages: Double-occupancy room in the Plantation House, hunting license, three hour morning and afternoon guided hunts, 25 round 5-stand sporting clays on day of arrival and unlimited fishing, safety vests, gun use, ammunition and fishing tackle, breakfast, lunch and dinner, alcohol, housekeeping and laundry services, game processing and complementary travel cooler.

Not included: Transportation to and from Buckeye Plantation, shipping of game, regulation trap or skeet, extra 5-sand or walking course sporting clays, tax, staff gratuities.

Extra-cost options : Private rooms available for an additional $250 per two persons. Limited availability.

Deluxe oyster feed on evening of arrival: $25 per person minimum four persons

A morning or evening deer hunt can be added to any quail package (in season) for an additional $400. Licenses and firearms available.

While the guides of Buckeye will enroll your cooperation to not apply excessive pressure to our wild and early release quail coveys, Buckeye Plantation does not have a daily bird limit nor "additional" bird fees on any quail hunt.

Eastern Whitetail Deer Hunts

Weekend Deer Hunting Package

Buckeye Plantation is reserved for deer hunters only the last two weekends in October. Arrive Friday afternoon, hunt two evenings and two mornings. Two nights accommodations, Arrive 2:00 pm Friday and depart 2:00 pm Sunday

$1,200.00 per person
$450.00 per person non hunter rate

Maximum eight guns in the field, available the last two weekends in October only.

Included in the Deer Hunting Package: Two nights accommodations double-occupancy room in the Plantation House (private rooms available for an upcharge of $250 per two persons), meals, two morning and two afternoon drop-out hunts to blinds, pick up and assistance with game retrieval, cleaning and packaging. One 6 point or better buck, and four does or five doe limit. A $500 additional harvest fee applies to male deer taken under six points Unlimited fishing.

Not Included: Transportation to and from Buckeye Plantation, licenses, gun rental, ammunition, safety vests, deer processing beyond quartering, game shipping, sporting clays, staff gratuities.

Reservation, Deposit and Payment Policies:
Space is available on a first deposit, first reserved basis. We recommend making reservations more than one year in advance. A 50% deposit per person is required to confirm a reservation. Reservations will be invoiced immediately upon request and deposit is due 14 days after reservation request. Deposits may be paid immediately by Visa or MasterCard. Reservations un-deposited 14 days after initial reservation request will be released to the next requesting party. Balance of payment is due 90 days prior to the reservation commencement date. Prices subject to change without notice but prices will not change once a reservation is deposited and confirmed in writing. A comprehensive liability release will be tendered at time of reservation or at time of arrival and must be signed before activities can begin. Refusal to sign release will not be cause to justify refund of deposits.

Cancellations:
$500.00 per person of the deposit is non refundable. A deposit may be transferred to another person who is not booked at the Plantation for the current season. If it is necessary to cancel a reservation, written notice must be received at the Buckeye Plantation office by 180 days prior to the reservation date in order to receive a refund of deposits less the $500.00 per person non refundable fee. All cancellations 180 days prior to reservation dates will result in the forfeiture of the full deposit and/or payment of the trip unless a substitute is provided. There will be no exceptions. Buckeye Plantation strongly encourages guests to secure trip cancellation insurance.
