The Plantation House is a magnificent 7,500 square foot manse with an ingenious architectural style that combines the luxurious refinement of a southern country estate with the rustic comfort of a backwoods lodge.

The Plantation House is set between an expansive equestrian field and a 28 acre lake. A hardwood forest and a pine stand to each side complete this enchanting setting. The fine country furnishings and sporting decorations within the House are a constant reminder of the lifestyle represented by Buckeye Plantation.

A variety of guest rooms are available, some suited to couples while others are suited to friends or families. Whichever room you choose, all are fitted with comfortable beds, luxurious bedding, spacious bathrooms and a wonderful view of the property.

The lodge features three magnificent stacked-stone fireplaces, two interior and one exterior, that will be fueled by split oak and roaring each morning and evening.

A billiards room, a card room and several private conversation areas complete the gracious environment.

As you sit before the roaring fire in the great room, enjoying refreshment as you regale your companions with tales of the hunt, your chef will be preparing a delicious meal. An hors d'oeuvres feed is presented by one of the outdoor fireplaces upon your arrival and the dinner menu will include chicken, beef, quail or fresh coastal seafoods served with side dishes and prepared with southern influences. Hearty southern-style breakfasts will prepare you for the day in the field.
