Whitetail Deer Hunting

Deer Hunting at Buckeye - Bill Buckley and Dale Spartas photosBuckeye Plantation has an ideal mix of hardwood forest, field and swamp that make excellent Whitetail Deer habitat. Over a score of blinds and tree stands are situated at various points around the property and overlook trails or food plots.

Plantation House guests may be guided or unguided at their choosing. Hunt Club guests are unguided.

Hunters are placed at blinds before dawn or during late afternoon and are retrieved, hopefully with game, two to three hours later.

Buckeye personnel will assist with the field dressing and preparation of the deer. Your venison will be processed as quarters and packed for shipment home or to the processing facility of your choosing. A local, recommended processing facility is available.

Hunters are encouraged to bring their own safety clothing, rifle and ammunition or bow and arrows. Fine Beretta rifles are available to rent and appropriate ammunition is available to purchase.
